The Adamello park
A visit to the Natural Park Adamello Brenta allows to admire the widest protected area in Trentino, 48 wonderful lakes and the Adamello glacier, one of the most extended in Europe. You can get lost between the wonderful woods showing a succession of red firs , larches, white firs and sylvan pines; without forgetting the azaleas and creeping willows. At the top you can admire, between rocks and screes, edelweiss and lichens.
The fauna property, more over, clearly testifies the integrity of the Natural Park Adamello-Brenta. The concrete evidence is the presence of the brown bear, chamois, deer, roe deer, squirrels, badgers, stoats, weasels, pine martens, dormouse, hares, and different kinds of birds, between them the great real eagle.
One of the best ways to completely enjoy the beauties of this uncontaminated place’s nature is to go along the high street of Adamelio, a splendid trekking path. It does not have excessive uneasiness and can be approachable by everybody, with a right training. It develops for more than 50 km on foot, often on a free field, it presents itself in original view in comparison with the more hit classical paths. Along the path, you find interesting rests of military settlings of the Great War: trenches, walls, caves that, posed inside a natural scenery of great beauty, lost their warlike appearance.
Nowadays the Natural Park Adamello Brenta comprehends the great part of the glacier surface in Trentino, counting 65 glaciers on its own territory and siding numerous valleys, between the beautiful of the Alps. Then, a visit to the Park allows to revive the deep and atavic relationship linking the man to the nature indissolubly.
Dolomiti cheese: the Dolomiti is one of the few cheeses like soft and raw dough, to eat within few days by its production. The milk used derives from the local cows, fed with pasture grass in alpine grazing, or with hay of stable grass.
